HIP-Cuyahoga met over 500 people this past weekend!

HIP-Cuyahoga was thrilled to meet (and give a healthy snack to) over 500 people at the past weekend’s events. On Saturday, HIP-Cuyahoga celebrated with the City of East Cleveland, as the Salvation Army hosted a block party, that included music, food, performances, and a resource fair. On Sunday, we went to support the open streets concelt with CiCLEvia Central. Over a mile of Community College and Quincy were blocked off from automobiles, so that people could participate in non-auto activities like zumba, walking, dancing, bicycling and more! HIP-Cuyahoga helped spread the word from our growing group of partners and community residents, about good food here stores, shared use sites, how to become a community health champion, where to get produce from a farmers’ market, and how to get involved. This weekend, we’ll be at Wade Oval as part of the All City Community Celebration, hosted by Cecil Shorts III. HIP-Cuyahoga will be there from 12:00 – 3:00 pm – stop by and see us!
